Trade Aid are really committed to their supply chain; the Fair Trade and Organic Standards are designed to support co-operatives and even out the impact of erratic and low prices on vulnerable and also small producers. Read more about them here:
I wish we could get Fair Trade tea/ coffee/ hot choc at work, but until then I bring my own. See if you can get your office to change their supply to trade aid for a few extra cents and a whole lot more sweet justice!
If you are a chocolate lover and you could do one sweet thing this spring, buy fair trade and get your cocoa (or hot chocolate) from Trade Aid! I haven’t been able to find a lot of options for fair trade sugar and cocoa in the supermarkets (or bulk stores) so I always like to make a special trip to Trade Aid.
Some health food stores do Kokako if theres no Trade Aid near you.
And whats really exciting is the new chocolate range Trade Aid are manufacturing in Christchurch! And soon we’ll see it in the supermarket! Can’t wait to get my fair trade easter eggs next year!
